New Noreikiskes biogas CHP plant

In 6 October, 2005 JSC Kauno energija opened new erected biogas combined heat and power plant in Noreikiškės
Noreikiškės CHP plant is the first biogas fired CHP plant build in Lithuanian DH compnies. This project corresponds to the aims of Lithuanian Energy Strategy and  implements the requirements of EU Directive 2001/77/EC  The project was part-funded by the Lithuanian Environmental Investment Fund. The project was started at the end of 2004.
